For new work permit applications, the medical examination includes a clinical examination, urine test, VDRL, HIV test, malaria parasite screening, and chest X-ray. Female applicants also require a serum pregnancy test. Thai workers and applicants aged 50 and above require an additional ECG.
Work permit renewals typically require a clinical examination and HIV test. Depending on MOM requirements, a chest X-ray may also be needed. Please check your renewal notification from MOM to confirm the specific tests required for your renewal.
